First things first. My new yoga mat. 🙂
JOY in me is a polish brand that produces mainly yoga mats. The mats are made of 100% biodegradable & recyclable tree rubber base and ultra-absorbent, soft suede top. Printed with water based inks.
I personally don’t like one-color mats, colorfull ones are my favourite. JOY in me has many beautiful prints – you will have a hard time choosing only one. 😉
I thought the mat will be a little slippery at the beginning but no. It has the perfect grip. The thickness is right also – my spine really appreciate it when I’m rolling.
What is really important for me is that you can wash it in a washing machine. 🙂
Here are some general information about the mat:
Length: 183 cm
Width: 63 cm
Thickness: 3 mm
Weight: 2.4 kg
Shop or get the details.
I aslo have their water bottle.
I made an experiment – I filled the bottle with hot water and left it for a night – in the morning water was still warm!!! The bottle is also really light.
Capacity – 500 ml. Made out of stainless steal. And also beautiful right?

Santa gave me the best gift ever!
After 5 years – since I started yoga – I changed my mat. And that is a change with a big C.
The mat looks exactly like on the pictures at the website – YogaDesignLab.
It is a travel mat so you can not only roll it but also fold it. It comes with a carrying strap. It’s super thin and can be used as a towel or on it’s own. I used it on a wooden floor and was too thin for me, maybe it is a matter of time and I will get used to it, my old mat was really thick.
The mat is eco-friendly, biodegradable, recyclable 100%, it weighs only 900g. Also you can wash it in washing machine.
I will update this post after using it more.
For now – enjoy your practice!
Why I love yoga and want to be a yoga teacher?
You gonna read a lot about yoga on this blog so this post will be short. 😉
Yoga is something that gives me peace and strenght.
When I was 8 or something I loved acrobatics and gymnastics. I got a book from my uncle – a book about yoga! The one on the picture below. At that time I didn’t know anything about yoga, there were no classes for children so I just looked at the pictures in the book and try to copy them. Every picture was so amazing and I felt like I can do many positions but also was scared about some of them 😉
Here I am now, dreaming of going to Mysore and become a yoga teacher!
I believe we will always go back to something we loved in childhood.
